Will AI take your job? Goldman Sachs estimates that AI could replace or make 300 million jobs worse by 2030, affecting writing, translation, customer service, and more. Goldman also predicts that AI could automate one in four jobs over the next six years, across all industries.
“Artificial intelligence is not possible without human intelligence,” Steve Huffman, CEO and co-founder of Reddit, said Thursday of the challenges of AI, adding, “I think there's practically an ecosystem, a balance here that's really important.”
Given the changing job market landscape, career changers or job seekers may be wondering: Are there AI-safe jobs out there?

A report released earlier this week by Resume Genius explored this question by taking salary data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and assigning it to occupations that, according to a risk calculator, have the lowest risk of automation.
The resulting ten jobs were the highest-paying, lowest-AI-risk occupations with well-above-average growth – and they were all in healthcare.
“Healthcare roles require a level of human connection and empathy that AI simply cannot replicate,” said Eva Chan, senior career expert at Resume Genius. “Ultimately, healthcare is as much about emotional support as it is clinical expertise, and that's where AI falls short.”

The average annual salaries for these positions range from $78,100 to $130,020.
But you don't have to work in healthcare to AI-proof your career. Samuel Johns, HR manager at CV Genius, says those who “successfully integrate AI into their workflow” while developing “soft skills” like problem-solving and teamwork are the ones who will thrive in an AI-centric work environment.
