It's just something Slicethepie calls a music critic. They pay you to give your opinion on new songs before they are released.
Luckily, you don't need to know anything about music to write a good review! Explaining how it makes you feel and comparing it to the other artists and songs is enough to be useful. If you're still a bit discouraged, check out this link for some practical tips.
- To review a piece of music, you must listen to the track for at least 90 seconds before you can start writing. The more detailed and specific your opinion is, the better. However, you need at least 45 words for your review
- Next, rate the title from 1-10
- Then fill out a checklist of how you would describe the song if it were a person. For example, is the music funky? Playful? Sexy?
And you're done! Simply click “Submit” to proceed to your next review.

The hard part is getting the most profit out of your review.
Instead of a flat rate, Slicethepie pays you depending on your star rating. This in turn depends on the quality of your reviews. Reviews are judged according to the following criteria:
- How close is your rating of the title to the average score the title received from other reviewers? For example, you have low accuracy if you think a track deserves a 9 when most other scouts only gave it a 3.
- Whether your feedback is detailed, meaningful and actually benefits the artist.

Based on our testing, your rating increases by one star for every 30 titles reviewed. This assumes that you listen to the song enough and put effort into your reviews.
