Taylor Swift is reportedly doing more than just providing support from the sidelines while dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. In an interview with NBC's Chris Simms, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes revealed that Swift has become a backup coach.
“She's really interested in football and asks a lot of good questions,” Mahomes said. “She's started working out plays. Maybe we need to implement one.”
Since Swift and Kelce began their high-profile relationship, the NFL has reportedly seen a surge in female viewership, effectively merging two dominant sectors of the American entertainment industry. This connection is said to have played a role in the Super Bowl's viewership as well – an average of 123.4 million viewers tuned in to the Chiefs' recent victory over the San Francisco 49ers, making the game the most-watched U.S. television event since the historic Apollo 11 moon landing, according to NFL statistics.

Mahomes stressed that Swift's interest in the game has greatly increased the sport's appeal, especially among young girls and women. “As a father of a girl, I know how cool it is for me to see these little girls – these daughters – and how much they love spending time with their dad and watching football,” he said.
It's hard to say whether or not Swift's strategy will actually work on the field, but Mahomes' revelation points to a key ingredient that's crucial for successful couples to find health and happiness together. One interviewee explains that it is not easy to juggle two demanding careers, but the rewards can be enormous. “Because we both work, there are times when I feel like I can take more risks and the same [goes] for him.”
Another manager interviewed said: “I help [my husband’s] career [by] Networking, making contacts at events, [and giving] Marketing and valuation consulting. He's a great communicator as a lawyer and has helped me with things.”
Interest, pride, and genuine joy in one's partner's success are the cornerstones of a lasting relationship. And while the haters scoff at Swift's attendance at games or Kelce's participation in her shows, their support for one another only suggests that these two stratospheric superstars are going to go even further.
