Visitors to Disney parks love using the Genie+ service, which offers guests the opportunity to reserve a spot at the front of the line for their favorite attraction, avoiding the wait times and crowds at the Happiest Place on Earth.
But now there is a new adjustment to the system.
On Tuesday, Disney announced that Genie+ will now be called Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, giving park-goers the ability to purchase Lightning Lane passes for their favorite attractions up to a week in advance. It will also add the option of a Multi-Pass, allowing park-goers to pre-book up to three attractions at once.

“Lightning Lane Multi Pass will replace the Disney Genie+ service, and Lightning Lane Single Pass will replace individual 'a la carte' admission to Lightning Lane,” Disney clarified on its website. “Starting July 24, you can purchase Lightning Lane passes and make your selections days before you arrive – giving you more time to plan your visit!”
Guests staying at Disney World resort hotels will be able to book their time up to a week in advance, while regular visitors can book three days in advance. The new system change will take effect on July 24.
Disney has not yet announced how much the new Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass features will cost, but it does note that Genie+ services will cost an additional $15 per Disney World guest.
