British technology magnate Mike Lynch, 59, is one of six people missing after their superyacht Bayesian was hit by a freak storm off the coast of Sicily, according to Reuters.
The BBC reports that Lynch's 18-year-old daughter is also missing. Lynch's wife and 14 other people survived.
There were 22 passengers on board the luxury yacht. Italian authorities confirmed that the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning when a waterspout hit the area where the British-flagged vessel Bayesian was anchored near Palermo.

The rental price for the 56-meter-long Bayesian vessel is about $215,000 per week.
Rescue efforts are ongoing.
Lynch and his wife's combined net worth is reportedly around $649 million.
